SOS Too grew out of a desire to move beyond protests and politics to provide practical, empowering solutions for unhoused individuals. Inspired by program’s like Goodwill’s Stride, our founders- Survivors Of the Streets saw the need for working resources and Job placement to give hope to unhoused individuals seeking sobriety and stability. Co-Founder Michael Morand, once a victim of homelessness and all the uncertainty that comes with that fact, encountered a friend Co-Founder Daniel Costa. They were struggling with the same issues and connected with one-another to help each other get off the streets and give purpose to their lives again. They decided to answer the call to lend a hand and serve the community that’s struggling to survive on these streets of San Jose, CA. They created SOS to form a lifeline for those lost to the streets of San Jose. Together with the help of Co-Founder Misha Jones they banded together to create SOS Too, A new Outreach Team ready to serve Santa Clara County’s Unhoused Community.
